Is the tv under warranty? What kind of TV is it.

I know of 2 great places you can call and tell them I sent you.

    1. TV service labs, in eagan. 651-454-2996, ask for nancy she is great to work with. (I used to work here before I moved up north)

    2. In home tech solutions, in plymouth. 763-544-1355 ask for brian lehner. (he was my boss when I worked at fast track (ultimate electronics) before we got closed down. Him and some other co-workers from ultimate started this company.

Either way you can not go wrong. Tell either place Bill Anderson sent you. Not sure if they will cut you a deal, kinda doubt it, but you will get great service from either place.

12 years old is awfully old to be putting money into. Thats if parts are still available. you would be better off putting the money towards a new HD tv. It will cost you 90+ just to have them come look at it. 250 for a repair with no parts.

i'm willing to bet that no parts are going to be available for a 12 year old tv.

Why? is it a giant tv or what?
just to get it looked at will probably cost more than a basic tv.

I know it will cost 90+ to have someone come look at it. what model Mits is it??? I am guessing it is a 40" tube tv. the PIP board has leaky caps and the board is not repairable or fix able. but you can put some jumpers in to fix it. Just a guess.

My second guess. No shop will come look at a 12 year old tv due to lack of parts. if they do come look at it they will not provide any warranty because of the age...

My 2 cents. call 12 years good out of a TV and buy a new one.

thats my thought, our only problem is we have a custom built in entertainment center that takes up one whole wall, and it will only fit that size in there.... will post pic shortly

Projector and screen!!! Oh yeah, make the screen 'audio transparent' and put the center behind it.
