I'm looking for a good GPS that can be moved from car to car (and possibly to a boat or ATV). I need to be able to update it as new maps come out. I'd like to be able to add markers (for the ATV and boat) if possible. Anything like that out there. Anyone have experience with one that matches this description? Oh, and I need it by next friday. :)

I'm actually about to sell a TomTom Go 910, its about 2 months old and I know people use it in their boats. I know this isn't the For Sale forum, but i'm just responding to your post. i'm selling it for $400. You'll get everything from the box, including the box.

Is that a subscription based GPS? I'm not sure I want to pay a monthly fee on something. I also didn't see anything about a Marker function. If we go fourwheeling up in the Blue Hills in Wisconsin, we want to mark where we parked. That way we can find our way back.

its not a subscription based GPS. and yeah, i actually don't know about the marker function, i'll find out. one of my friends has the same GPS device and he uses it on his boat so i'll ask him how it functions out on open water and let you know.

Posting a bit late for this. Dont know if you went with something already but I would of asked if you have a pda or a pda phone. if so you have the viewer and just need the gps sensor. if you dont then yeah you can get an all inclusive. I myself always have a pda phone so then I buy a hundred dollar gps reciever and 130 dollar software. every couple years i replace my phone and every year i upgrade my gps software to new mapping and whatnot.

I just went with the oncourse premium and i LOVE it! seems way better than my previous iguidance but in the end I think they are all pretty good. Id like to recommend www.buygpsnow.com as a good site for getting gps equipment. ive been using them for years now and have recommended them to a lot of people who have had no problems.
