Just curious if there is anyone with some lead on a possible production artist, typesetter, etc. opening at a print shop or ? I need to change my career before it's too late kinda deal. Rather be doing something I enjoy and paid to learn. I have an AS in Commercial Art from Tampa College (Florida Metropolitan University). Learned Photoshop, Illustrator, Pagemaker (do they even use this anymore?), and Quark Express and graduated in 2001 (which means I was trained in the most current versions of that software for that time). Used some of those skills when I was a 2nd shift platemaker, imagesetter for a small printing company in Brooklyn Park. Also have small portfolio, but mostly hands-on projects, and not computer projects. (Still have them on floppy, but no Mac and could be corrupted by now). Thanks!
