I posted this on the dynotune day thread as well, but I will be looking for someone to install ur600 or sti pinks and a vf22. Looking for someone who can get this done correctly on my 02 WRX.
Have you removed the injectors before? I really don't think I want to do this, but if you have removed your inectors before, then I'm down.
we could test install them on my 03 and see if they work then leave them there for lets FOREVER... ha ha ha ha Hey I would do it for FREE!!! yes FREEEEEEE!!!
No worries Jason, even I managed to do this with no prior experience. Disconnect fuel pump relay, run car till it stalls. Unbolt the various bits in the way (coolant filler thing, etc) and shove to the side. Have a 12mm ratcheting wrench for the bolts holding the Green Brackets of Death in place. Look really carefully, couple of the bolts are somewhat hidden. Maneuver the GBOD off without unplugging the TGV sensors (it is possible). Couple bolts later you are ready to pull up the fuel rail and pull out the injectors (probably with a tiny spray of gas). Make sure to get all the o-rings and rubber insulators out as well. Then it's basically bolt everything back up without reinstalling the GBOD. Unless you want to grind off the hard line on the driver's side GBOD, you'll need something to connect the two breather hoses you'll have...I just used a little copper elbow from the hardware store as a quick solution.
Never removed the injectors. Is Todd Erickson still on the forum? Wondering if he would be down with this, since he put on my scoobysport/STI Genome setup.
my bad, wasn't trying to be a know-it-all...the way you wrote it sounded like you hadn't done it before.
Well, if you want a full on Group A sound, that be it. Sounds like Vietnam. I had to get a factory midpipe to make it tolerable. So I changed to a Scoobysport muffler and midpipe and can drive without a splitting headache and the annoying coffee can tip.
Umm, curious as to the simile here? :? You may also want to page Todd Erickson to do the work at whatever shop he's at now. Anyone know if he's still at that one in Roseville? (not Identifix)
I've been in contact with bikerboy about this. So, I will be getting this going once everything shows up. Best way to discribe the simile is, well it's like a freaking war happening behing my car when ever I step on the gas, or let off. You hear the sputters, afterfire, loud turbo whine etc.
