OK, thanks everyone for the advice. I am leaning toward a dyno tune over a street tune. What are some advantages and disadvantages to each? I am getting the HTA68 and 840cc injectors to run e85. Also I have an AP V2 so I need some one who can tune these.

    thanks

PS I did search and found nothing:(

Personally id sell the ap abd buy opensource. Much more fleaxable and by the time you sell your ap buy a cable and get a tune youare stiff going to pocket a little change.

Cobb AP maps are "off the shelf" maps, meaning instead of being tailored to your car, they are a "safe" map that will work on a number of cars with similar mods. You won't be able to develop as much power, as Cobb has to adjust timing and fuel in the interests of not getting sued because their map contributed to a motor failure. An open source or dyno tune will be tailored to your car and your mods, and you can decide how close you want to run to the ragged edge of the power vs. reliability envelope. And with the money you spend on an AP and then getting it protuned to what you want, you could have several OS tunes.

That being said, Bullwinkle, Ron or Nuke will all do a great job on your car. I have a Bullwinkle tune on my 02, and it's fantastic.

or keep the AP and have your tuner tune acouple of maps for u so u can store them on the AP.
like do a gasmilage tune(low boost) then u can have a E85tune and a (93gas tune just in case u run out of E85 and cant find a store that sell E85 u can just load up ur 93gas tune and fill ur car with gas.) it takes like 30sec to load a different map

I think opensource tunes have more variables and suff you can adjust to make a better tune where cobb even custom maps still are not as good...could be wrong

I can try to help you over the net with the AP if you'd like.
Meaning, custom map for your AP

If you want a taste of E85.... Nuke can set you up.

My setup before was setup on pump by Jorge from P&L via Cobb AP V2. Nuke and I further refined a couple of things to bring out a different character with the setup. Boost crazy!! Now I wonder how E85 would have been....

Nice, good to know this, too. I'll send everyone who asks your way, Nuke :). Don't feel like learning the streettuner software myself.

OP, I believe the only local shop that does AP dyno tunes is DB Performance. If you're dead set on staying with the AP, I'd recommend having Nuke help you with the road tuning.

Right now, I'm only for the 02-08wrx and 04-08sti as far as AP goes. But I still highly recommend and prefer OpenSource > Slobb
