I'm interested in trying a new lens out on a car this weekend. anyone interested in doing a photoshoot? would be especially nice if 2 people wanted to participate so I could do car-to-car rolling shots
you can come take pics of my car. I am 3 hours away from the cities. Damn you take nice pics. what lens are you trying out?
I would volunteer, but my car is at that stage were is too dirty to be clean, and not dirty enough to be cool looking. If i can find some mud around here somewhere i might take you up
i've wanting to get my car shot with a nice camera. My work schedule is quite hectic. When were you looking to shoot?
I vote a New thread on photography tips and stuff... Carl and Russ you guys could definitely teach us newbies to DSLR lots.... I want to learn more in depth secrets to nice pics.. pointing and shooting with a $700 camera isnt as much fun...
well let me know when someday happens lol (what does your car look like, it might be fine now - I'm not terribly picky about looks) I will be there for that (unless I suddenly turn into a hand raiser :laugh but I'm looking to shoot individual cars. It would be a good chance to meet up and do a smaller shoot with people though remember what we were talking about on the phone concerning the 28-135IS being too narrow on a 1.6 crop sensor? well I traded that and the old tamron 18-200 in since I never use that one and picked up a 17-40L - you still want to do pics tonight? 17-40L. 3 hours is a bit of a drive for me this weekend front yard + sprinkler + awd = mud red wagon = hot anytime this weekend. I'm moving back to school today and after that my schedule is pretty open for sure, i'll let you know I like your car - let's set something up doesn't need to be lowered yours does. j/k  that's a good idea. I'm sure there are other photographers on the board(probably much better ones than myself - I just photowhore a lot :laugh. now that I'm not restricted by having to edit on a laptop monitor (can't really be calibrated) I'm hoping to start turning out slightly better work (or at least pics that I can print and have the exposure and color look decent).
ok, so the easiest thing to do for this weekend is to show up at the dealership bbq and then leave for a seperate shoot afterward (I'll show up around 1pm). if anyone wants to do a more individual shoot, pm me and we'll work it out
Still at St. Thomas? I think my best opening would be sunday afternoon or evening. I think shots of my car would be sweet around dusk or when its getting dark out. Let me know what we can work out.
perfect. I work until the afternoon and will roll home and get it all clean and we can figure out a time and place.
I could met up with you then if you wanted another car for rolling shots... ..or I don't work the next 4 days so...
hmmm.... parents probably wouldnt want me tearing up the front yard. where do you go to school? would you be down for a winter photo shoot?
ok, I'm down for sunday evening. wanna meet in the cities for some urban shots, or somewhere specific?
what time do you think you can get up here? sunset is 7:48pm tomorrow so anytime after 6pm will work (I'd actually prefer earlier than later if we want to try any rolling shots where I need to hand hold the camera)
I just polished my car up. even clay barred it, so its nice and shiny. I would be down for some shots while its still clean.
i'm supposed to be at work until 6pm. So I may be able to get down there around 7ish. I'm going to try and get out early though.
