You say that as if there is something wrong with homosexuals? Are you a homophobe? Maybe Predavore wouldn't mind picking up a few guys on his way to work.

On a note about the car, it's a novel idea but you will be overly limited in you mobility "in case stuff comes up". I will be interested to see how far they can go with this. Realistically, why couldn't they incorporate a braking-recharge system like the Prius? I don't see why not. Aside, of course, for the fact that they are American designers.

That car does have a regenerative braking system.

I agree that it looks better than the new STI.

    You both just failed...horribly!

The new STi, is the new generation Subaru. Wait to see it in person before you hate all over it. Before you know it, you'll be wanting one... Or on second thought, buy that pile of electric garbage so my gas prices go down!!!

I have seen the new STI in person, and I think the Volt looks better. I did not say I'd buy one, but maybe in 5-10 years when the technology is more proven I'd consider it. I have a different car for going fast and having fun, so why not have a comfortable econobox for the everyday commute?

As for the Tesla roadster, I'll be amazed if they every actually deliver a car to anyone.

I'll admit the new STi is A LOT different than the previous years, but if you've been with Subaru for any amount of time you should know they like to "facelift" every 2-3 years. So who knows, maybe the 2010 STi will be more like...ummm....who knows, maybe a frikkin Tribeca Coupe???

I like the volt. It has a decent look to it and the electric car is practical, if its given a fair chance. I personally like how it looks over how the new STi looks. Brian has a point that subaru does often change how the cars look. every 7 years a new redesign and every 2 or 3 years a facelift. Hopefully they can come up with something good in a few years. I agree that the STi still has all the go factors (awd, turbo, EJ257, ect...), and I can see where this move towards the everyday person (and away from the rally fanatics) is good bussiness wise, but it IMO it just means we are looking at a future that looks alot like a toyota camry.

I don't know how you compare the hatch to a camry in any way. The sedan, okay...but not the hatch.

^ the point about the camry was just to illistrate that they are becoming more "cookie cutter" in appearance. There are alot of hatches out there right now. Mazda 3, Ford Focus, ect... (this has been discussed elsewhere). IDK, IMO i just dont like the way the hatch looks: ugly taillights, odd looking scoop, funky grille, WAY too rounded body lines, small foglights, ect... I am sure that mechanically it is super sound, but that doesnt mean I have to like the way it looks. Even though it will never happen I can still hope they will bring back the GC/GM/GF chassis.

If GM really wants to do something, they do have the resources to do a very good job. For instance, GM finally wanted to build a top notch 4 cyl. Thus the ECOTEC was born and since then, it pretty much owns the ultimate power department for 4 bangers.
