Low 13's. Who has done it?

I want to know who here as ran low 13's with a stock STi? Because I just can't do it. I only ran 13.76sec. I just want to meet someone who has actually ran that time.

 

i saw a thread on here a while ago, or maybe it was nabisco, i dunno, but people were claiming 13 flat. is it possible? and when i say possible i guess i mean without destroying your car.

 

yeah the only way i heard of running 13 flat is sacrificing ur REAR axle like that ONE VIDEO

 

I thought i read somewhere that the gearing in the 06 or 07 (leaning to the 07) was what really makes the difference.....I personally have never gone lower then 13's without a v8, spray, or a dsm.

the 07 gearing is different...you can actually reach like 118 in 4th compared to 100 in the 06's. that makes a huge difference on the back end of the track

 

If you can get your 60' foot to a 1.7 or even a 1.8. I'm sure you can achieve a low 13. I ran a 13.7 with a 1.7 60' foot in a 02 wrx with just bolt ons. Mr. fong wagon man forester has achieve low 13's with his sti setup. Its all the driver.

You just have to drive it like there is no tomorrow.

 

^It's all most ALL in the launch, you can't be afraid to break the car if you want the real fast timeslips...

 

it still erks me that stock sti's struggle for low 13s.

i dunno i guess i've never really seen the point of dragging our cars. the awd slows you down on the top end and draging pwnz your tranny/ drivetrain. I guess if you dont do clutch dumps you will be alright but our cars are built for handling and acceleration for autoxing and road tracks, not drag strips.

 

wasnt 95lwrx running 13s w/ his white car? granted it is a swap, but still it should have come in that car to start with!

 

yeah, but on low boost and 2.0-2.1 60ft times i ran a 13.9 at 101
