Since relocating to the area this past week, I've avoided the urge to stand on the throttle. However last night I took the car out for a spin on the interstate, and all I'm going to say is wow. It pulled very nicely at 6200 ft asl, but down here at 900 it's a different animal. 35 degrees + 20psi lots of O2 == miles of smiles. Now I need to find some 93 octane.
I wouldn't get too hung up on 93. The farther you get inside the cheddar curtain, the less 93 you will find. And best of luck finding much of anything over 91 once you get outside the cities. Russ
This is true. 93 is plentiful enough around here, but when I road tripped out to Montana via SD. The best I could find anywhere was 91 Oct. I am tuned on 93, but had no issues what so ever on the trip. I just would have been happier running what I ws tuned for.
Rochester has 92 and I still regularly find 93 during my trips in WI. Though, I have noticed a lot more 91 at some stations.
It was a Citgo before and at one point the premium was 91. I usually fill in the cities because the gas tax is still cheaper in MN than WI and my work has a 92 pump that gets heavy use. I have found Shell stations in the state with 93.
