the good news.... got my short block back from the mechanist shop tonight and and it nice to have!
bad news...seeing that the mechanist needed some o-rings and stuff I had him order up a gasket kit and head bolts...... he ordered everything from Felpro which I have no problem with but unfortunate the head bolts are about a half an inch to long and I had to pick up a couple of o-rings to finish up the build

anyway I checked with the felpro web site and everything I have says it's for my motor...... so needless to say I'm worried that nothing is right in the gasket kit..... should I be worried about the rest of the gaskets or am i just fretting?

Ahhh how nice a freshly honed cylinder looks!

You should consider becoming an MNSOC member and getting your parts from Erik and Brian at Morries. I'll bet it will save you a bunch of time, headaches and money (20% MNSOC discount on parts) in the long run.

finally got it in last night, and I'm kinda liking the the new note!:yumyum:
unfortunately, like the heading said, my luck isn't all that hot lately!
I need to get two oxygen sensors. I busted up the clip removing the downstream 02 sensor out of the rear. and I must have shorted out the upstream sensor at some point as it bounced around the garage!.... You know I don't think there is ether one of these for my car in the state of MN right now! :banghead:

why no sleeve all the block if ya got it teared appart anyway? I always find an excuse to upgrade/do more when I have stuff appart, you have too much self control!
