Ok... that's it... i've had it with this ****. i was patient... and respectful despite their lack of courtesy. and then they try and bull**** me. <RANT=START> Ok.. end of july i score a Blitz Nur-Spec exhaust used at a very good price. it's missing a few things, but nothing too big.. 5 bux in bolts and gaskets later, and i realize this thing is pretty freaking loud. ok REALLY loud. but damn it sounds good. well, i know these things have silencers, but being used, mine didn't come with one. ****. so i call up Impreziv, as i know he's got the same exhaust and is mid engine swap so he won't be needing his silencer for a while. he's cool enough to loan it to me until i get one myself. So now it's time to order one... plop down on froogle, and search for a blitz nur spec silencer. success! Mach V motorsports has one for $39. perfect. popped out the visa and placed the order. a few hours later i get the standard confirmation e-mail, linking to a status website. i go there, and right at the top it says under status "order will ship in 4-7 days" great.. all i have to do is kick back and wait for my package to come. two weeks goes by... WHERE THE HELL IS THAT THING!?! i've been checking the status on it every day for the last 3 days. no change. still "will ship in 4-7 days" they've had 10 BUSINESS days to get me a damn tracking number or tell me somethings up with the order. time for a phone call. Later that afternoon... "Hello, mach v motorsports" "yeah, i placed an order online with you 2 weeks ago, and i'm wondering why it hasn't shipped yet." "ok... and your name is.." >>fills them in on the information<< "ok.. let me go check on why this hasn't shipped" >>15 minutes later...<< "yeah, that hasn't shipped because it's out of stock" "umm... ok.. why doesn't it say that in the status bar?" "because no one bothered to change it" "Great.... so when will they be in stock?" "we don't know." "how can you not know? you've placed an order for them right?" "yes" "your supplier can't give you ANY sort of estimate?" "no" "RIiiiiGhhhtt.... whatever" "thank you for calling mach..." >>Hangs up<< Fast forward another 2 weeks... Sitting in my e-mail box is a set of tracking numbers from mach v.. it seems they FINALLY got them in.. great. i'll be getting it friday. ****.. i thought i canceled that.. oh well. i still haven't found a silencer. great. Skip forward to today... Roll up from school, and there is a package at the door... YAY! wait... why is it so small? open the thing up, and it's a silencer all right... but it sure doesn't look like a blitz silencer it looks like a universal fart can silencer that happens to have the same outer diameter of the blitz nur-spec. the big hint that it's NOT for this car is the the middle pipe of the silencer. it's about a whopping 2 1/4"... yeah.. well, maybe blitz changed some things. so i pop it in. it's a little looser than the one impreziv lent me, probably because it's about 2" long, and the BLITZ model is about 14", and goes all the way through the muffler. Ok. it's in and well tightened. fire it up... wtf? the thing sounds like a pepsi can full of playground rocks is in my muffler, and that's just at idle. any gas, and i think it might shoot out. B.S. this IS the wrong part. hopping on the interweb, i decide to check one thing... i shoot over to Summit Racing and look up a universal silencer... what do you know, they look identical to the one sitting on my desk. ****ers.. "yeah, you guys sent me the wrong part... i wanna return it." "ok.. let me pull up your info." >>i give him the info<< "ok sir, you ordered a Blitz silencer for the Nur-Spec right?" "yup" "can i ask what you received instead" "a crappy universal silencer, that doesn't fit" "ok... let me go ask someone about this return..." >>10 more minutes go by...<< "Sir?" "yeah?" "Ok.. that is the correct silencer. we ordered it direct from Blitz Japan" "Really, because the silencer that came with my friend's identical exhaust is about a foot and a half long, fits like a glove, doesn't rattle, and actually says "BLITZ" on it. Why is it that the silencer in my hands is not at all like that?" "Ummm...... hold on." >>ANOTHER 5 minutes goes by on hold<< "Sir?" "Still here." "Sir, we're going to go ahead and give you an RMA number on that one, and wave the restocking fee. But, just for the record, that is the correct silencer" "whatever. just give me my money back." >>Arrangements are made for return via UPS shipping label<< [RANT=END] [CLIFNOTES] order a silencer from mach v silencer shows up a month later. the silencer isn't a true blitz silencer like on site, it's a cheapy universal honda sized silencer that happens to fit the Blitz Nur-Spec Mach V tells me it's the correct silencer, and that they ordered from Blitz direct. i tell mach v that they are bull****ting me mach v quietly accepts their mistake while trying to cover their asses, and sends me a return shipping label. [/CLIFNOTES] In short, these guys are asshats, and i won't be dealing with them beyond getting my refund. i'll also be telling everyone i can that they shouldn't deal with them either.
that sucks. i'd wager you might have an issue getting your refund. keep tracking info and make sure you insure it.
Customer service in the aftermarket parts world, from what I've dealt with in the past 3 years..... sucks accross the board. There are very few decent vendors out there these days. Sorry to hear about your experience, I've been there and more way too many times. Edit:Oh, and didn't you you know that the NUR-Spec is the loudest exhaust they make?? I would also suggest buying a muffler shield for your bumper, a cute carbon one would be nice, the NUR-Spec's like to blacken your bumper.
yeah.. i knew the blitz nur was a pretty loud muffler, and i thought i could get away without a silencer until all the old folks in the negihborhood started giving me dirty looks. like, "i just killed the pope" dirty looks. I'm not worried about the bumper, as the car is black, and I'm still running a 3rd cat.
Call your credit card company, and tell them you are awaiting a refund on your card, and it still hasn't showed up. Then the card company will go after Mach V and your almost guaranteed your refund.
