What is a good magazine to get to learn general knowledge about subies? ie: the terms and abriviations for different subie parts, motors, body styles and such.

What is a good magazine to get to learn about adding proformance to subies? ie: bigger trubos, the pros and cons of fmic and stuff like that.

I feel like I know nothing compaired to some of you guys and I want to fix that.

SubieSport, it's pretty much the only subaru specific magazine, and it's pretty good...

otherwise, just hang out here, and other boards like this one, and you'll catch on pretty quick 8)

yah, subiesport is about it. there are some other magazines such as Drive which is the offical subaru magazine, and there is also wrench?? i think thats it anyway it only comes to dealerships, but the articles are all about working on / repairing subies. i got a couple issues and they seem to be pretty interesting. they helped me out a bit when i was doing my timing belt.

occasionally some tuner magazines will have a decent article on a subie but its normally just a mod list. you most likely wont learn anything from the article.

    good luck.

i wish subiesport came every month. which reminds me, one of you guys that came up to duluth should send them one of our picks from skyline where we got all of the cars in the picture overlooking the lake. that would be sweet to be featured in their mag.

Yeah i got my first subiesport mag the other week. I really wish they came more often. I like it a lot i think they do a good job. Maybe if we all get subscriptions they'll start doing more than one mag like every other month haha.

i think they are having a difficult tie trying to fill 6 issues a year, so 12 might get kinda small.

i do wish they came more often, we could help though. if we send in stories about meets, and other things we will A. not only be in the magazine but B. help them fill up another issue so it can come out sooner.

Justin: i had some good pictures from skyline drive, but my HD just crashed on my laptop. however Chux has almost all of the pictures i took on his comp.

Nasioc and WRXFanatics have a wealth of information about Subarus. Nasioc especially. That place is practically an encyclopedia for Subarus.
