Manual Transmission Rebuild

    Hi all. Not sure if this is the right place but hope so. I am looking for someone who can do a rebuild on a '01 Outback manual Transmission. My mechanic says the transmission is bad but admits to never working on a subaru so I'am not sure he is correct. If there is someone who could check it out and let me know I would be very grateful.

    What does he say is "bad" about it? Are you looking for shop recommendations or privateers?

    Not sure. I think he said the gears might be stripped but he hasn't opened it.

    He doesn't want to get that far into it to find out he can't fix it. I am trying to find someone local who could take a look and know what they are doing.

    Mike Wray. Or Ben and Brian at Morries Minnetonka. Those are the only people I would let open and touch a transmission.

    Mike is LegacyPGT on here, though he can be difficult to get ahold of.
