^ Thanks... I might have one or two shots of your car doing the Roll shoot out. I'll check later on. Not sure...
I'd love a shot of mine rolling against the GTR But I think you had already gone back to camp by then. Brian's car had intermittent issues and didn't make a pass. It should be fixed soon if all goes well.
I still want to see the video from the stands of you against the GTR! That is a bummer about Brian's car, I am really curious what it will do. What turbo does he have on there now? He sold the 6766 right? Was Gimp's car only able to do one pass as well?
I will get the video up. Hard to really tell much since it's so far away. I was maybe a car or two ahead from 40-130mph or so.
Out of curiosity, did you get anything from friday's autoX? Kinda hoping somebody caught my car at some point.
I knew I should've run you. Never got to run the GTR either. Next year I'll run you for sure, and I won't have a garbage transmission anymore if I can help it.
67mm P-trim. I was steadily losing boost every run- started out 31-32psi, ended at 28, but it's about time- the turbo is 4 years old. Lots of stuff is going out- trans (2, 3, 4) rear diffy, turbo, probably my crank trigger as well. Just not doing what it used to do. Lots of upgrades this winter, I think. PTE 6870 once they release the specs V160 if the adapter plate comes through. (TH400 if it doesn't) Teardown and inspection of the internals Spooled rear end, or a very aggressive LSD rebuild.
I lost to Fuji pretty hard, but that's fine by me- that car is scary fast! I was crossing the 1/4 line at about 130 for most of the races that I didn't screw up on. ninja edit: Based on your drag runs, I think it would have been a good race!
Yeah, I was trapping around 126mph from a dig and it looked like I was about 125-130mph (on my speedo) in the roll racing.
As is happens, I am a Steve Keeney. Ha ha! Yup, officially sad I didn't run you. Win or lose I don't care- I just wanna go fast with friends and other cool people since I can't on the street without risking my job (Dealer tech)
Thanks man. Nope, it's all on me. Undecided what's going to happen next, haven't even taken a close look at it yet to see what may have lived. Still feel the eyes swell up when I see the pics...
Damn, really sorry to hear that. I hate seeing cars getting banged up at the track. I'm assuming it wasn't brake failure like what happened to people the last couple years? Perhaps insurance will work with you... I think spaz ended up getting insurance money. Sorry to go off topic... The pics look great! I'm still bummed that I couldn't make it... 2 years in a row I couldn't make PG due to weddings. Next year... Yall better be ready! ... And even more bummed that I drove up to bir on Monday and I couldn't drive at the track day either, because camp Ripley was ALL OUT OF E85. Imagine that.
@istoptofly Very sorry to hear about your car John. I'm glad you walked away and will live to race another day. I really loved the look of your car and it was always evident that it was well cared for.
Thanks bro, it was my pride and joy, bought it new in 06. It hurts now but with enough time I know I'll either make something out of her or build something new to love all over again. That's what car lovers do right! But until then, I find myself avoiding the garage...
