Anyone planning to head up to BIR for this event? I have been waiting to see info posted, but haven't seen anything. Found it via Mr. Google, but the MotorsportReg site doesn't have anyone listed as being signed up. Not sure if they decided not to post entries like the did previously, or if something is up? I would like to head up, but the lack of any outside info is a bit concerning...

I'm planning on going. I make it up there every year. Highly recommended for anyone that has never made it to one.

Proving grounds is loud, drunk, loud, crazy, loud, fun, and loud.

That said it's cheap track time.

I am hoping to go up after work Friday for the weekend. I'm not sure though, depends on how much money I have, and if I'll have enough to pay for the gas to get up there and back, and then have enough money for gas for the LAX cruise the next weekend!

I'm heading up there this year with a couple friends from work, and their Civics. We are going to get some track time in Saturday, and one of my friends will compete on Sunday. Hopefully I'll see some MNSubaru members there!!!

Do any of you e85 guys have trouble finding fuel? I know camp Ripley has a station with corn juice. Does the track offer it?

I am seriously considering part 2 in September!

Ripley is a hike from BIR just for gas.

I ran e85 last year and feel like it was less then 10 miles from the track, I will be up there all weekend from Friday through sunday. Look for the grocery getter sticker on the back of a bugeye wagon

I have been up there and the stations nearby with e85 run out quick. Several people brought up gascans of it but I think there is a limit on how much you can carry per vehicle without a special license.

Nowhere in Brainerd has had E85 since sometime in the spring of 2014. The SuperAmerica was the only station with it for the last couple of years and they quit carrying it. Plan on bringing your own E85, or traveling for fuel. Its 28 Miles to Camp Ripley.

BIR had E85 last year, but the price was crazy.

Also, the BP right outside of the gate closed. So, no more quick trips for snacks/drinks.

There are a few stations in town with 93 and everyone gets their e85 from Fort Ripley. Btw I live in Brainerd.

Raceway Square gas station in Brainerd started selling both E85 and 93 on 7/5/17. It's the Cenex located 1/2 south of BIR. 17977 State Hwy 371, Brainerd MN 56401. Tel 218-454-1642, www.q-squares.com.
