Just wondering if anyone else is playing Marko Kart on the Wii? I battle a few of my friends and family once in a while, and it would be fun to exchange Kart numbers and go at it.
My fiance love this game, she get so upset and yells at the tv. We don't have the intenet at home till monday, or qwest might change the day on me again.
Didn't know where to post this since we don't really have an official Wii thread, but does anyone have the new Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility? I'm thinking about picking it up next week.
Just like all the other Harvest Moon games...just a little more activities to do and a different story line.
Figured this is kind of our "Wii thread" so I would just bump this one (see I searched ) Anyway, I bought a Wii Fit a little while ago with the plans to resell it on ebay over the holiday season. Right now they are going for about $130-$140 on ebay (I paid $90 for it)...but I assume in early December the price will jump as people start freakin' out because they can't find it anywhere. Problem is, lately I've become incredibly tempted to play it...it looks like a lot of fun! Does anyone have the game? Would you rather have the game or about a $40-$50 profit?
We've got it and it's pretty fun. I've just been too busy to play it lately because of everything else I have going on. The balance games are the best - screw the yoga and strength training... My wife and I would compete to see who could get better scores.
Wii is definitely fun. I've never been all that terribly into video games (except maybe the original NES back in the day), but the Wii is easy to get into. We like Tiger Woods, Guitar Hero, Mario Kart (of course), Ghost Squad, more... Easy to check out lots of different games with the mod chip.
well, most mod chips only interface with the dvd drive controller chip, so it should be impossible given the Wii's hardware interfaces for the main cpu to detect the mod chip itself. There are potential hooks in the discs themselves that could allow the cpu to sort of detect a non-factory pressed disc, but many, many games are already released that don't incorporate that protection, and adding it in the future would break compatibility with those discs. And, of course, the mod chip itself is upgradeable through dvd as well as flash and has a lot of potential in it - I can't imagine anything the wii could do that the chip couldn't work around with new programming. I've done a few updates already and had no issues. Seems the only problem people have is mistakenly trying to play a game from a different region and doing an update from that disc. As long as you stick to region 1 it should be just fine. Also, I personally shelled out some extra for a solderless clip - so it can be removed pretty easily. Having done quite a few soldered chips on various systems in the past I can say that I was extremely impressed with the apparently quality of the solderless clip and would go that route for any future chipping I do on any system.
