Hey all, I am trying to find...if there is one, but the person/persons who plans MN meets. If you could help me out, that'd be great thanks peace!
Why not just post whatever it is you're proposing instead of this internet cat and mouse nonsense? Some of us don't have time for silly games.
Nobody does, its a concerted effort by members and mods/admins. So, again, I ask...what do you want? You have two site staff in this thread asking you to explain yourself....I have posted twice. My next post won't be so accommodating if you keep playing silly guessing games. Just spill it.
The point of this is that I'm trying to find someone who Subaru owners follow, a leader at that. Okay I got you guys, there really isn't one, the reason I'm asking is I'm working on making a new car club in Mn, with other "leaders". This new club (The Secret Society of Mn) will be ran by leaders/Admins of other car clubs of all makes and models of cars. With this club we can use each others fan single built fan base to put together; Meets, auto-cross events, car show, and races. This club is a branch of one from IL with a big future in mind for the automotive culture in each state. This isn't BS or some half ass idea, I'm 100% on this and who ever is will to take the roll for the Subaru's in Mn I'd really like to set up a time and place to meet, there is all is in a nut shell.
Yeah, this isn't my duty or zone of responsibility. I've been through, and party to, enough "legit club" failures not to hop on another. You do realize that the biggest sport compact community in Minnesota just closed its doors permanently, this might not be a good time for club making.
Not trying to shut you down or anything. Just warning you of the uphill battle you're going to have around mn.
MNSubaru does just fine with the resources that we have. If your looking for a group that involves all makes and models of cars we have Rice Killers here in MN.
Didn't know about any club that when under, but this is going to be fan based. I just need the leaders of other car clubs to rally with me and once we grow with the fans we can expand. Money isn't really going to have a play in this clubs stability, of course it would be a helping hand down the road but sponsors will be advised once needed.
MNSportCompacts. They were huge then it died off. It was for all cars. They shut down on the 1st of this month. Now we have ricekiller. Again, all makes are welcome. And they are large as well. I'm surprised that as a car enthusiast in the twin cities that you didn't know about mnsc.
I know honestly I think it's weird too, I have ran my club for over 2 years now and have never heard of them. But anyway i always felt like Ricekillers was more of just a Announcer then a host, either way i guess. I might just keep the club for what it was ment for, thanks for the input guys.
We appreciate all brands and makes here at MNSubaru.com. I hope you stick around and get a chance to meet our community. Chances are you will end up with a Subaru at some point.
honestly if i had the money I'd love to get a sti hatch. its on my list for future cars but it all comes down to money
I thought the title read "Match Maker" I never liked MNSC because there were too many couch racers and e-thugs. Thinking about it, I don't ever remember leaving MNSC's site feeling like I read something valuable. I haven't even thought about going to an RK meet yet. From what I've heard, it's pretty similar to MNSC, but with MOAR LOWS AND M4D CRAZY EURO TIRE STRETCH. I like to dodge cones, not potholes and speed bumps. I LOVE C&C, and try to make it to weekly events but work takes priority!
Welcome to the forum! I am by no means the "leader" around here, lol, but i am the event coordinator. If you would like to meet up and chat over lunch or something, just let me know. My schedule is crazy, but we could probably work something out. Send me a private message and i'll hook you up with my phone number.
Yeah, I heard the same thing about the rice killer meets as well as the Garage Geeks meets. It's like every time someone comes up with a good car meet or group, the stancetards find out about it and ruin it.
I see you like crap like Canibeat and Hellaflush on your Farcebook page. FYI, If you worship at the altar of 'stance' you won't get much traction here.
RiceKillers and MNGarageGeeks have you beat on "car meets." I have never been to a brand specific car meet that was not inclusive to people with other cars. For motorsport events, they are pretty well advertised around MN and almost every event can be found on mnautox.com and scca-lol.org. I hate to crush your dreams but it sounds like you are trying to reinvent the wheel.
Well at least it got better over time. The last time I was "half a regular" was in 2005. Checked back a few years later and didn't see much improvement. That was the last time I have been on there.
FWIW, I've heard rumors that MN RiceKillers is on it's way out already. in my experience, all makes/all models car clubs get too big, too many stupid people show up, and it ruins it. MN Garage Geeks meets are having problems over the summer with stupid people as it is, and they've pretty much run out of space.
Yeah I do follow them on Facebook but honestly I like to drive cars, lol not dodge every speed bump. But anyway I follow them just because I like some of the pictures.
It's even more funny when you view the pic first, try to come to grips with what the pic says, and after some internal brain struggling, decide that the picture's text makes no sense at all and that someone must have just bashed words into a meme-generator using only their face and thumbs....it is at that point in time that you should read the post it quoted.
I used to work with a guy that would butcher sayings like this. I used to write them down so I wouldn't forget them. My all time favorite one he used was, "It's like throwing a dart at a chalk board."
Check out his sick whip... there's even a 0-60 vid linked on the side. That's sure a sweet automatic 4cyl you've got there.
