Memorial Day morning

    The wife and I are out on the deck having coffee at 9am this morning. Suddenly, from somewhere in the neighborhood, someone was playing Taps on their trumpet. For those couple of minutes, it seemed as if every sprinkler shut off, every bug/frog went quiet and every lawnmower stopped. God, that song is moving...

    Indeed it is. I was driving back from my annual fishing trip, and all Sirius XM stations paused for a moment of silence and taps was played. Very somber.

    Also went for a bike ride on Memorial Day with my fiance and we stumbled upon a park that I didn't know existed: Victory Memorial Parkway. It is a 2+ mile stretch of memorials/head stones from the servicemen/women that died during WWI and were from Hennepin County. Here are a few pictures that I took:

    I grew up not to far from there. Quiet area of Robbinsdale. Pretty nice.
