Whoever keeps trying to send me a PM: STOP. Really. Stop it. Yes, "llfishmya" or "llfishmen" that means you. My inbox is full. I don't own a Subaru, I don't know anything about Subarus. If it's about my FS thread... check dates on posts. It's gotta be a year old by now.
Some say that he quit i'm a celebrity because he was scared of trees, and that he though star wars was a documentary. All we know is, he's called the GINGER!!!...
Some say he was originally cast for Leonardo DiCaprio's role in Shutter Island until he realized that he was actually on Shutter Island.
Alright. Here's what I keep getting in my email: Dear Shibbs, llfishmen has just tried to send you a private message. However, your private messages box on MNSubaru.com has reached the specified quota. In order to receive further private messages, you must delete some messages. Please visit this page to do so: http://mwsubaru.com/forums//private.php All the best, MNSubaru.com That's what I keep getting. Every single day. Usually at around 3am. It's from [email protected] via tbilisi.dreamhost.com I miss you ****ers too, but this is NOT the kind of crap I need to get me back here. I've tried disabling everything with my account as far as email alerts go, and it doesn't help. **** it, I'm just adding mnsubaru@* to my spam filter. There really HAS to be an explanation to this garbage though.
When was the last time you downloaded and fapped to tentacle porn? mWsubaru.com? I'm not clicking that, scumbag. You has virus. Test results positive.
That sounds like e-mail spam to me. Does the link actually go to the page that it looks like it will go to? The new forum software doesn't even write the e-mail notification in that format any more (Private Messages are called "Conversations" and the e-mail notifications are fancier HTML based messages). I would think it's either some kind of glitch with the old system still trying to send out e-mails, or else someone is trolling for passwords (not sure why they would want to on a small forum like this...).
That's what I started thinking - because I was a mod when the mwsubaru was a test site. I've never clicked the link, but I know it's a bad link.
OK, that is the old form letter for PM receipt. You aren't being spammed per se. It may be a bot that found the dev forum and is trying to send PMs, in that regard, yes, it's a spammer causing it...the link is legit, but it's not. It goes nowhere, but the location it points to is on our network. tbilisi.dreamhost.com is one of Dreamhost's servers. For refrence, t3hw00t is also hosted on Dreamhost, and we have a similarly named server for both our files and our database. This is not uncommon. And it isn't a spam address. The mnsubaru@gmail address is used for forum communications. The forum needs to have an associated email account to send you updates/info about PMs, etc... Again, t3hw00t has [email protected]. That is where your informational emails about PMs etc... come from on there. Again, not spam. I <3 you shibbs, but you're starting to sound like the "waaaaaaahhhhh, I'm taking my ball and going home!" type here. There is obviously a mistake related to a dev site that uses our old database. I'll let Russ know, and it'll likely get fixed in short order. That's why I needed to see the PM you were receiving so i could figure out how and why you were receiving it.
I'm not whining and taking my ball home to mommy. I'm just saying to get these emails to stop blowing up my phone at 3am, I'm adding it to my spam filter. Please remember I'm not your usual forum high-schooler.
Stop being so melodramatic. I know you're not stupid. I'm explaining to everyone else that we aren't retards. This is the first we've seen this info. Again, I'll let Russ know and he'll correct it.
Some say he becomes melodramatic at the thought of spotted dick. And that he was married to Kim Kardashian for 70 hours on a bet.
well, I can tell you this. We have not used dreamhost for over 2 years. That is a VB style notice, but I have nothing with VB installed. Hell, I don't even have a mwsubaru.com domain. I will check with Steve-o and see if that domain is his, but it is not mine or this sites domain. Russ
It was a old directory on one of steve-o's servers that had a super old VB test install. Everything has been wiped, so there should be no issues anymore. Russ
