As some of you may know, I do installations on exhaust and suspension, etc...

While putting in an up pipe and down pipe on a members car this weekend I noticed the threads on the rear O2 sensor were totally messed up!

The sensor didn't want to come out of the stock pipe and upon further inspection I noticed whomever orginally installated it on the car (factory) crossthreaded it pretty bad. :eek4:

    Anyone else encounter this?

The car is a 2005 with 12K miles so I'm confident it hasn't been removed prior to this installation.

I have seen that on alot of cars. It probably wasnt cross threaded. The sensor gets seized in there and pulls the treads out of the bung.

ive had this happen on some as well. I have also had this happen with the bolts holding the exhaust manifold together to the crosspipe.
