So, I'm gonna' put some water/meth in the wagon, and I was wondering if there are any wagon owners (or anyone else) that had a good idea for where to put a tank.

I have an STi IC tank w/pump, but it's just too small in my opinion (and it's for sale if anyone is interested).

I was thinking of wedging something in one of the cargo area's corners, but I'm just not sure. I would probably want to go with some sort of fabrication.

    Ideas?

    Thanks,
    - Justin K.

not many places to fit a 3 gallon tank.
you could put a fuel cell in the back. bolt it down, use that.
the long supply line is hazardous though. imo get a braille battery, relocate the washer tank, and put a smaller 1.5 gallon tank under the hood.
less waste due to line length. and you don't have pressurized flammable liquids in the pass compartment.

Thats a good point. Maybe relocate your battery to the trunk and put a tank where the battery is. Also I heard you don't want too big of a tank.

no need for a new tank. i used my windshield tank. it feeds the injection kit and my windshield wipers. 75% meth is awesome wiper fluid.

I can't imagine the washer tank is any bigger the the STI IC spray tank. If it is it can't be by much.

What I'd worry about with a wagon is spilling, leaking and accidents. I think I'd stick to a fuel cell just for safety (if in the car). Methane isn't very soluble in water so it never truly mixes and it only takes an air content of 5% to be explosive.

I was thinking of fabbing up something in the rear corner of the cargo area. Like the passenger side. Maybe integrating it with the wheel well. I had the SMC kit and got rid of it. I never installed it. I decided to go with the Perrin kit. I don't really want to use my washer system, cause I already use it for IC spray during the summer (rear wiper mod). Relocating the battery is an option if everyone is worried about my safety ;) But I really want to maximize the size of the tank with the limited space that's available.

Though I could relocate the windshield wiper tank and the battery to the rear. Then I could use all that space for teh m3th :)

I fill my one gallon meth tank once per 3 fuel tanks under spirited summer driving.

I don't know, just an idea, I haven't seen firsthand how large the intake silencer is, but have heard it is huge...what about removing that, and building a custom tank to fit inside the fender?

Or you could get sneaky, and make a false floor in the passenger compartment...an 18x24x1.75" tank would be a little over 3 gallons.

enough for the spare tire, and a little more.
