    Hi,
i'm thinking about creating an "amateur" magazine called Midwest Import Magazine,
thoughts, ideas, and opinions would be appreciated.

some week down the road, i'll be looking forward to do interviews and picture takes of people and their cars.
Just let me know what you all think.

Would it be alright with the Mn Subaru members if I can use some of the informational articles on mn subaru to be posted in my magazine?
A car magazine should be filled with tons of useful information about cars.
I'm also going to aim for Subarus as the highlight of this magazine.
    I'll also include,
    hondas,
    acuras,
    mitsubishi,
    Toyota,

Just as long at the information you put in your magazine are not opinion made articles only. You need to remember that some of the people reading your magazine might not know what they are doing or may be new to the car industry. Or just plain influanced by every person that comes outta the wood work to tell them how something should be done when that person may just have an idea.. Not actually knowledgable information. Just something to keep in mind.

Some good people to interview would be:
Bullwinkle, Readymix, ScubaSteve, Fuji, .... Those would be some of the first people to talk to , they know many interesting car things since they have experianced cars not just tinkered.

i am looking for sponsors and donations later down the road,
but for the cool and fun part of it,
i'll take my voluntary time and effort to piece this awesome magazine together.

if you wanna get a successful print... then make sure you are nothing like every other import magazine that is full of fluff or just talks about man-boobs... pathetic reporting..

I could show you some of the Import/fast Fours & Rotary magazines from Australia that cover the mods and details of the car very well, with the history etc of the build... none of the junk of the small car mags over here...

I totally agree with the strict educational purposes of it,
i want to get down and clean with the full details, specs, as well as full feedback and opinions from the driver and owner of the car.
apart from every other import magazine,
i want the magazine to have more personal sense of belonging and knowledge sharing representing the midwest.

During the compilation and production time which should be next week,
i'll be sticking up jpg images of the pages for everybody to check out and modify.

    And yes,
any kind of help will be appreciated.

    As far as printing,
phase 1 of compilation 1 with full editing will be photo printed and laminated for show, tell, and sample check outs hopefully before september 13, 2008,
    i'm getting a bit excited.

Does anybody know of any magazine printing companies that are willing to print in limited quantities?
