Minnesota Autosports Club (MAC) series MOWOG 1 & 2 coming up! May 8 & 9 I'm surprised no one started one yet, so here goes. MOWOG series: MOWOG Event 1 - May 8, 2010 http://myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=10836 MOWOG Event 2 - May 9, 2010 http://myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=10837 Host site: Valley Fair parking lot, Shakopee Event 1 is near full, but there are some cancellations and no-shows up to the day of the event if you want to chance squeezing in. Event 2 has some room left but it will fill. MOWOG has largely been full events, and the Valley Fair event is the biggest and many times fastest event they sponsor. There's this thread: http://mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?37572-2010-MAC-Met-Council-Autocross-Schedule I should be at both events.
Yeah, but we typically see dedicated threads saying "look at me, I'm happening soon." It seems the rally-x crowd has it for every one, but the auto-x crowd is hit or miss. I probably saw threads like this for only half of the MOWOG events but pretty much 100% the previous year. It's not like less people are auto-xing their subarus either. A lot of people are, but it seems to get less coverage on this forum, oddly. So...I started one cause it's coming up soon.
that means we'd have to drive back saturday night and that ain't happening this rally - need to celebrate with the new teammates! choice of potato.
This will be my 4th year doing MAC + LOL, fun fun. I want to attempt to do a full season of both. In the past my schedule has been unfortunate at times and MAC and LOL had several of the events scheduled on the same days. The scheduling is a lot better this year between MAC and LOL with no main race overlaps, and I'm hoping to hit up every event for each. MOWOG 1 last year MOWOG 2 last year, about the same course, reversed direction, revised sections
One of the reasons you see us pushing the rallycross events more is that typically the MAC events fill up very quickly and they have to turn people away. We're just now starting to look at that as a real possiblity in rallycross (which is a good thing in most ways).
Indeed. I'm happy to see 50 people showing up to race each event. It's nice...minus the fewer runs of course.
