I know we have a dubstep thread on here which is great but I didn't see anything for Midwest rap. We have a ton of awesome artists especially in the Twin Cities and they make some of my favorite music so I thought I would start a thread for people to share their favorites. Hopefully Ill find some new things to listen to! I'll start with two of my favorite Minnesota specific songs from local rappers. They are old and I'm sure you have all heard them before but they always put me in a good mood when driving in the car, especially on a roadtrip!

Yeah but there are others around the midwest! Doesn't JUST have to be MN. And there are plenty of smaller artists not signed to doomtree or rhymesayers! I want some new music!

Haha yeah he is from the midwest but doesn't really have the "midwest style" I would accept other rappers from outside the midwest with similar style if that opens it up a little.
Here is my friend from my hometown in Mound. Not too well known and hasn't put much out there but I have a bunch of his early stuff on my computer and I think he is dope.
Also, from Philly so not really midwest and his voice is...interesting but I love this song. lmao And the girl in the video is not hard on the eyes...
