I have a misfire in cylinder 4. It has shut itself off twice. I have replaced spark plugs with subaru oem. I had the coil pack switched to a different cylinder and the cel stayed on 4. Bikerboy pressure tested it at 130,130,130,and 132. I know those are a little low but not horrible. I ran a bottle of Lucas through a tank(the code actually started 2 days after that bottle) and then I have gone through a half a tank of techron. I did fill up almost every time with Holiday gas. I used mobile 1 synthetic everytime I changed oil.

The maintenance manager at Morriss BP suggested replacing the injector in that cylinder as my next attempt. I am very low on funds, so that is why I am only getting one done.

Anybody have any idea or experienced this in the past?
05 sti with no mods what so ever. 61,000 miles. I drove it like an sti but I never have launched or raced on a track, I baby it for the most part.

Change to BP 92, and see if it helps.

the tank that is in there now is shell, I am never putting holiday gas in again. Could it really be something as simple as changing gas? Its idiling a little rough. Also I revisited my rant about my mpg going down and its only 20-30 miles per tank different than last summer.

yes, gas can make a huge difference. if you have been running Holiday i would personally run some Seafoam through there to clean out the system and keep running BP or Shell now

There is a bottle of techron in there now, should I wait until this tank is gone before I put seafoam in??

    Any other ideas besides gas?

I've heard RX-8's had problems with Shells 92 Gas. Not sure on subies though. Just something that may relate even though they have no pistons.
