so who has a motorcycle? What do you have? just talk about bikes here... We need to all go for a ride sometime...
Trek 820 my baby has a 21 speed tranny and a little surface rust in a few spots but she still goes like hell
Not to be the mommy of the thread, but i hope everyone rides safe. i just saw a guy die today on hwy 10 by sunfish blvd in ramsey. car pulled out and bike hit him. dude was toast. i would love to get a bike but that **** scare the hell out of me!! see everyone at firestone 2morow (sat)
I was gonna start a thread: Been a while since anybody talked about bikes. I did a search for: Bikers, Motorcyclist, and Motorcycles in the quest to avoid redundancy. Here is a thread to resurrect, rather than making a new thread. I thought about making a “who is a biker here†poll & well, may still just to get an idea how the percentages break down . . . Subaru + bike vs. Subaru only on this board. Seems like there might be a fair number of us dual sport types. A bit about me: I have been riding the streets for a long time, done all the biker stuff, lived the life. I am a recent convert to Subaru. The last 8 years, I have been streeting a ’96 CBR900RR. It has evolved as a bike as I have evolved as a biker. Right now it is on that paper thin edge between the top of it’s game and a basket case. I only expected to get this season out of it . . . but the beast keeps running strong, lil 919 has a heck of a lot of heart. A few questions: What is the longest somebody has kept (and ridden, not talking storage like my ’76 Goldwing) a bike? Is there a point in MN weather that signals time to hang the helmet? Any definitive end to the riding season (once this point is reached it won’t get better til spring) ? How would you break down the percentage: Are you a rider or driver? For example: 71% rider + 29% driver = rides when possible & prudent + some work related car activity & grocery getting . . . which would be my break down.
I ride a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja 636. Last summer I had a 2001 Suzuki SV650. I ride every chance I get, and I really love corners. I would definately be down for a big group ride sometime. I also have a Kawasaki KLX 110, but that's a different kind of bike And a YZ80 that's for sale!!
01 cr250r (for sale) 98 honda cbr 600 smokin joes racing edition update: sold the cr250r some guy on meth stole and totalled the cbr
I used to have a 03 SV650s, but the stupid jeans got to me. I had gotten so comfortable doing them and when you think you know it all. It happens. So ride safe and not stupidly.
Looks like time to hack and fab a streetfighter back end. Cut it off just aft the Ya don't need that weight anyway. Fabricate or buy a short rear and you are golden.
I don't have any pics of my '05 yz125, but here's a pic of my (ridin' dirtay) '01 yz125 and my wife's '06 ttr125.
It'll be awesome, might be alil rusty though. I didn't make it to the dirt once this summer too too much work! Also It may be time for a new bike instead of car mods. Stage 2 is all I need I want to RIDE!
'99 Fatboy (Broken crankpin) '76 FXE converted to FLH '80 Honda Ascot '78 Yamaha XS1100 '82 Yamaha Maxim 550 '76 is my favorite
02 R6 w/carbs by Roy's to screw around on 03 VFR to ride more than a couple of hours on.... I am sorely tempted by the DRZ SM400...
Motor built like a tank, and sadly so is the bike. Really started the trend for the WR450 CRF450X and KLX450 though, I have loved my DRZ400S through the years just wish they were lighter. DRZ450 fuel injected???? Hopefully soon!
Maybe, I haven't been able to ride one, but they look like fun. 250 lbs+/-, 50 hp and USD forks sounds like a good recipe to me. When I hear "Built like a tank" I think of "can take a lot of abuse"...
I got to ride a DRZ250 or 200 during the MSF course. Easy little bike to handle, and for the abuse those bikes take...they were still in good shape!
Bumping 3van's thread for the amazing weather! And, pics of mah bike. 1993 Yamaha FZR600 w/stage2 jet-kit and Yoshimura pipe Needs to be cleaned up a bit. Thinking of having the rims blasted and powdercoated next winter and touching up some body blemishes to prep for primer and fresh paint instead of vinyls. Body and wheels may be done to match the wrx. wrb+gold:yumyum:
