The MN Car Enthusiast Club is holding a Midwest Subaru Car Show at Modern Automotive Performance on Sunday, Aug. 21st from 11:00-5:00. Links to the MNCEC event website and Facebook event page are below. If I'm not mistaken, tickets are $10 to enter the show and MAP will be offering dyno runs at a cost of $60 for 3 pulls. Food trucks, sponsor booths, and Subaru dealer reps will be on site as well. Yeah, that's a tough decision. I won't have a full weekend free so spending time with my Subie brethren seems to be the better option for me. Plus I'd like to get on the dyno and see where I'm at after the recent mods/tune.
I'm down with that. Hoping they have a prize that'll apply to my "13 year old, daily driven, hail and 2 deer survived, several MN winter driven, slight rear quarter rust, misc dents and dings all over, paying off the wife's student loans instead of buying fun car parts, but still drive it like I stole it" class. PS, @Navar Hren , I might be able to sneak a WRX headrest into your back seat while we're parked out in the "others" lot.
In a sweet twist of fate, I prepaid for this shindig first thing Sunday morning. Then late in the afternoon got sucked into helping an (old guy) friend pick up a classic Chevy truck. Next weekend. On Sunday... So perhaps we can schedule another back seat rendezvous. Maybe the rally party in Minnetonka?
Did anyone sign up for a dyno slot? I got one with the hopes my tune for E85 would be ready but it doesn't look like I'm gonna have it in time

Well the XV got 1st for the 2009-present Forester class, only because there was none in the show... So cool? Ha! But all in all, pretty good show. Nice hanging out with @Navar Hren and @sti-fighter today!
Yea you had to be there, and the way they did the door prizes was not the normal way. They just had everyone just yell out the number assigned to their car and they pick the number they heard the most or loudest... So yea ha
If you won a trophy I think they would save it for you. The owner of one of the first cars to win wasn't there and somebody else took it for them. That yelling out numbers at the end for the prizes was just dumb.
I didn't even notice that happen. And yea, when they said they were going to do it that way, I just left. I would rather keep my voice. Sleeper car I tell ya!
