2010 MNSOC Scavenger Hunt

When: March 27th Saturday – Noon O’Clock

What: A Scavenger Hunt

Ok so the details of the Scavenger Hunt Items will be kept off the website just to make sure that no one will have an upper hand on anyone else. To date only myself and the judges have seen the list and a final draft of the list will not be made until the date of the event. So unless a MNSOC officer is a judge, they have no idea what is on the list. The Scavenger Hunt will include locating items and/or pictures of certain landmarks or locations within Minnesota and Wisconsin within a certain timeframe.

The Scavenger Hunt will require you to work in teams. Each team will be limited to one car. The size of the team will determine how much it costs and how much you can win. The more people you have the cheaper it is to compete but the less you win.

To enter: $40 per car MNSOC Members + $5 for non-MNSOC members.
2 people in the car = $20 per person (add $5 for each non-MNSOC member)
4 people in the car = $10 per person (add $5 for each non-MNSOC members)

Winnings are per car:
1st -> $120 gift cards
2nd -> $80 gift cards
3rd -> $40 gift cards
Last Place -> Something Special!

*The gift cards will be to local businesses. We are still open to ideas from members, so what would you like to see for gift cards? Some ideas I had for gift cards: Best Buy, BP Gas, or even Visa Gift Cards.

Don’t have a team? Just post on here that you would like to join a team and I am sure there will be others like you that want to participate and do not have a team. Also please indicate if you would like to drive or ride for the event.

If you would like to become a MNSOC member and receive a discounted entry fee, we ask that you sign up before the event. If you have questions on how to become an MNSOC member please feel free to PM me or anyone else in the MNSOC officer staff.

Update 3/1 - Event Interest

Since we don't have a headcount yet, I wanted to post something about interest in this event. We need 8 or more teams to keep the prizes where they are at and throw the event. If we don't have interest in this event that is fine. This club is for the members, I want to do things that people want to do. We can always do something different. As of this point if we don't have teams for this event by Friday March 12th the club will drop this event and plan something that the general public is more interested in. As of right now we have the location locked down, so the current plan is move forward with this event. So if you are interested please speak up, otherwise we will focus our time on a different event. Please share your ideas, concerns or anything else in this thread or PM me.
