MnSubaru FreeGiveaway Hoodie DesignContest

Here is the deal.
Russ is going to get together an order for some kickass hoodies for the club.
We need a sweet design, and want the members to have 95% input on how these are going to look, feel and smell.

My challange to you, design up a MnSubaru.Com hoodie or two, post up a small version of the artwork and we will vote on which one we go with.
(you should have your original designs saved rather large, I’ll check with russ on what the screen printer requires for DPI and whatnot.)

The "winner" gets the first, (or second, depending on if we can hid the box from eric long enough) hoodie off of the press.

A few concerns:
a single color one sided hoodie is going to be the most cost effective. The vote on the design will include a estimated cost factor.
a 6 color 2 sided tribal hoodie would be cool as hell, but probably COST $50 each... i don’t think many of us would be too interested in a $50 hoodie... unless it came with a $20 bill in the pocket.

The typical standards for MnSubaru should be considered.

Russ is the grand master on this, and has expressed a deep desire to have allot of input on this round of club gear. Let’s blow his mind with some killer ideas!!

thats just like my idea but instead of just Subaru on the front it should be 'Minnesota Subaru Club'. thats like all centered and 1 word under the other if u know what i mean

that hoodie with that many colors and that detail would cost I am guessing upwards of 50, not the 20 we are looking for...

The design is nto bad just not what I would want on any piece of clothing I own. (I would not order one if that is what it looks like)

I'd wear Discopopes design if it were free.....not that it isn't cool, I just wouldn't wear it myself, and certainly not for a car club

here's a simple design, not perfect for everyone (myself included), but to appeal more to most. also using only one color, and only printing on one side, helps keep the cost down. Oh yea....and ignore the half@$$3d chop job:

this, obviously, could be done in any color combination. and could use the graphic from the T-shirt if you guys prefer (i.e. leave the 'Subaru' word in the emblem, and adding the URL below it, instead of the combination)

+1 for Chux. Perhaps my faith in getting a new hoodie has been restored, hehee.

 

It isnt that the idea that Chux came up with isnt good, I think it is just looks boring.

 

unfortunately, what seems interesting to some, tends to be ugly to others. a simple and 'boring' design stays in the middle of the road a bit more (instead of appealing alot to some, and none to the rest, it appeals a bit to most), and keeps cost down.

if I were designing it just for me, and wasn't thinking about trying to keep the majority of the club somewhat happy, it would be much more interesting.

 

Hoodie Design

Well here is my attempt, similar to others but a little different.
Front-MNsubaru logo on chest
Back-MNsubaru.com across back
Shifting arm-MNsubaru.com up sleeve

Colors can be changed but might as well stick with the yellow/blue/white/black scheme

Sorry for stealing your suby logo LVT but I couldn't find one anywhere else.

 

My suggestion is to take the emphasis away from the URL... I like Chux's idea as it is simple and to the point. If there is some huge 'mnsubaru.com' on it, I will not be in the market for one as it just isn't my style. I don't wear clothes to advertise to the world...I wear them because I like the look. If you have ever seen my wardrobe, you would understand

Chin, I think you're right. I thought about just putting 'MNSubaru' on there, but I would like people to be able to easily find more info on the club, without asking me (not that I'm anti-social....)

 

I like chux logo, but i do like the idea of MNsubaru on the right sleeve just drop the .com part
