Well, it's that time of the year again. Let's head to the range! When: Saturday, August, 18th(not the 25th as previously discussed) starting at 9am. Where: Bill's Gun Shop, Circle Pines MN ( www.billsgs.com ) Who can come: Anyone! Doesn't matter if you're a gun owner or not, or even if you've ever shot before you're more than welcome to come out. You can rent a gun at Bills or if you arrange it beforehand you can use the firearms that other people are bringing. We've had plenty of people with experience ranges from novice to well trained and everything in between. For those of you who are planning on coming, just post up how many you'll be bringing and you can also post up what you'll be bringing so if someone would like to try something they can arrange that beforehand. It's usually expected that if you're wanting to try something to help share the cost of ammo or targets, etc. I'm also willing to help out if you've never fired a gun before to get you started off in a low key (but still safe) environment to help you get comfortable with it. PM me if you're interested. I try to keep it to a couple of people on days like this otherwise it can be a bit overwhelming. We usually get a good turnout for this, so getting there early is crucial to making sure we get lanes. Hope to see both the usual crew and some new faces! This is my current list that may be subject to change: Lewis Machine and Tool MRP CQB - 5.56mm Heckler & Koch HK45c - .45ACP Smith & Wesson M&P - .357SIG/9mm Remington 870 Police Magnum and/or Mossberg 590A1 - 12ga (2 3/4 or 3in shells) Ruger 10/22 - .22LR Kimber Rimfire Target - .22LR Glock 34 - 9mm
I'm likely game. Still haven't shot the ultra carry since I became the owner(have in the past though) And I've got a new to me 14.5" AR upper/eotech coming any day now(the flash hider is being permanently attached now) I'll make a list of the who's and what's as the date approaches
This sounds hella fun, although I am a noob with firearms, I will contribute for ammo and targets. Will have to wait til closer to see if I can make it.
im going to try and make this one. if i do Kimber 1911 .45 ACp and the Kimber .22LR conversion kit, maybe a S&W .357.....otherwise the .45 and .22LR.
Damn it. The schedule looked clear on the calendar. Would the week before be better? (This is why I schedule stuff this far out. It's much easier to change that way)
Sad to say that I will not be able to attend this one. I will be up at the cabin that weekend! Although, I will be shooting the toys up there at the pit. Count me in on the next one, I will bring most of my collection for you all to try out.
Alright, let's move it to the week before. Dean, can you edit the OP title, etc? Same time, same place.
its on the calendar. Hope to have the new XD by then, If not just my standard 2, the .40 and the .22.
^^^What new xd you looking at? I can't update the photo thread without bumping the shooting event too so here we go. B U M P
i am learning to dislike a 5" barrel, a "service" model or 4" will fit my needs better...no XDm because the mags don't interchange.
I may not be there tomorrow. I am currently running a fever and fighting the urge not to lie down in traffic. If I do make it out I will probably be holding targets. Sorry guys.
i'm tellin ya, do this. Vitamin waters. 2. 1x power c, 1x recovery. bottle of water. dissolve 2x 'airborne' vitamin c tablets. claritin ibuprofen (optional: shot of *strong* whiskey) you'll be fine in the morning.
Damn man, I'm sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel any better I did try your miracle cure. I do feel better, but I still feel like crap. Ugh. Usually we get a good sized turnout for these, sorry man.
WTH?!?!?!?! am ready to scratch that itchy finger and i find out it twas LAST weekend...... well CRAP!!!! oh well more time to work on cars....
