Well that tile was cumbersome. Anyway, more new house projects have been going on in my place. Seems that I can't leave a perfectly good new thing perfectly good. I have to start hacking it apart, etc... Spent most of last night, and part of today finishing up some accent lighting around my TV nook above the fireplace. The thing just looked real bare, and even if there was a TV in it, I think it still would have looked bare. So I tried to jazz things up a bit. The wiring was a pain in the butt, even though I thought it'd be easy. That kinda sucked, but I did get it done. Also, you'll see some pictures of me with my rental car trying to get lumber and my whole-house fan home. Tis kinda funny. The fan took a whole day, but is in, and works like a charm. Also a major pain in the butt to put in, but well worth it. You will see why I truly missed my Forester. The foot is for size comparison
2 bed, 2.5 bath. Finished walkout basement, 2100 finished sq. ft., 2 car garage. Got it for 232 @ 6% fixed after buying the rate down a point. Sellers paid all closing costs, and paid for the point buydown. Also has hardwood floors in kitchen/entry, all appliances included, w/watersoftner/
So where is the finish product, and how come there was no pictures of you doing any work? LOL So whats your rate? I need a bathroom that needs a new floor. LOL Great work!
What do you mean?? that is the finished product. There aren't any pictures of me doing the work because I did it all myself. Hard to be installing something and taking a pic of yourself at the same time edit: in retrospect, having a helper would have been a very good decision on my part for the whole-house fan. it's a PITA to put in alone
the lighting looks great... but that big hole over the fire place still needs something.. a picture of your car, a part from your car or even a TV..
Hah, it's getting the TV from the basement as soon as I get the $$ to put a bigger one down there. It fits with 1/4" clearance on either side.
next time take a full size dodge ram for a "test drive" when you need to make a trip to the hardware store for some oversized items, it works like a charm! Nice place, cars< house
VERY interesting and scary combination of items you have ON TOP of a fireplace. None the less that looks spectacular, good work man!
you need to avoid the single man trap and hang some stuff on the walls. Make it woman friendly a little bit. Maybe put the knives where its not the first thing a single woman entering would notice. "ahh nice house, maybe i'll be staying here tonight" turns into "I hope he doesn't carve off my face with that thing"
The origional plan was just to put the two sconces (sp??) up. But then I had to cut a pull hole above the nook, so I decided to give it a shot seeing how it'd look with a light up there instead of a plate, or a patch.
