New to the area and wondered if they are reputable.

They told me I need some 105,000 mile maintenance done ie Timing Belt. Does this sound right? I also wonder if they are good for some mod work?

Speaking of mods what is a solid strut to replace the stock units? Needs are aggressive driving style over good and bad roads on sti springs (probably pinks).

Looking for a quality sound place also to install a new stereo and phone holder. Also permanent install of Radar detector over mirror. Can someone recommend a good shop for this?

    Thanks in advance-

We have two locations, tonka (my location) and bp, both you get 10% off labor and 20% 0ff parts if you mention being on mnsubaru and provide your s/n, we are reputable

I ONLY do business at Morrie's dealerships when it involves parts or service. MTKA is my favorite, but that's because I'm friends with the techs and the parts staff. There are 5 forum members working in parts and service at MTKA, and there are a couple from BP. Both are excellent choices for service and the 105k service is standard operating procedure for a subaru. The timing belt is due.

Yes, Morries is good. They have saved my a$$ on repairs!!! Yes, SOA recommends timing belt replacement at 105K. Prepare yourself for the possible replacement of the other pulleys while in there. Maybe water pump too...It will save you money and possibly your engine if you get everything done while you're in there for the timing belt.

+1 for Morries Minnetonka. Their techs and parts guys are great! And 3rik's alright too. Lol, Plus...DISCOUNTS!

The timing belt is a MUST! If it goes, so does your engine.:eek3:

I have purchased a WRX and an STi from Morries Minnetonka and have had them both serviced only there because I have found them to be very honest and do good work.

Kudo's to them as it is a real pleasure to be able to trust your car guys!!

I've found the Tonka Parts and Service peeps to be solid but their salespeople are the truest of hardcore wankers. Scott Putnam at Bloomington Subaru is my main man for new vehicles.

Good to know. Bought my 07 wagon from him in June (and my 02 wagon in June 02).

I'll adjust my prior post - all salespeeps at Tonka Suby are wankers save Putnam!
