Are you surprised?? A good movie should never EVER have more than one sequel. It's just asking for failure. Sometimes, good movies don't even NEED sequels but they'll be made anyway.

It was better than most of the drivel when it was new. I'm not saying it was fantastic ... but it WAS a new idea at the time. That made it interesting enough for ONE watch. Never watched any of the sequels. Never cared to. DIdn't see "Hostel" either.

I am a horror movie person, so I was impressed *(to an extent)* with SAW.

to be honest I was exited for saw 4 because of how well the other movies flowed, but appearently 4 was made by a different writer than the other 3.

I was told they are making 9 saw movies total?

again, i write and read mostly horror stories, and watched pretty much every banned movie that I could get my hands on. I was never beaten as a child. I won't comment on the other thing.

The real world is a lot scarier than fiction, really. You don't have to be messed up to scare people.

what about the oceans movies?! all three kicked a$s! i think a really good movie can make a good sequal depending on a lot of things but generalizing all sequals as bad doesnt make sense.

You were impressed by saw but not Hostel?? Or you never saw any of the Hostel movies? If not, then I say check them out. The first one was crazy...the second one was sick.

I look forward to seeing Saw 4. I have seen the other three and thought 1 & 2 were pretty good and 3 was ok...can't stop now.lol.

    How about High Tension?

Just about any movie based on a video game is going to be horrible.

Same applies to comic book movies.

Ray Liotta as an evil wizard....wow. Great effing idea.

How about Resident Evil?? WTF were they thinking. Those movies should have never included Milla Jovovich, the acting was horrible and the 3rd one, Extinction was a nightmare in its own.

Wrong! She never stripped at the Vu', she stripped at the Skyway lounge and did peep shows at Sex World. And I already knew that before I watched the movie, I read City Pages.

    Wikipedia -

    "Stripping and journalism

On a whim, Cody signed up for amateur night at a Minneapolis strip club called the Skyway Lounge. Enjoying the novelty of the experience, she eventually quit her day job and took up stripping full-time. Her time in the strip club world would not be limited to stripping. Later she would indulge readers with her exploits in private shows and simulated intercourse. Cody also spent time working peep shows at Sex World, a Minneapolis adult novelty and DVD store. Eventually she became disillusioned with stripping and switched to phone sex. Her short stay there stemmed from the way women were treated as a whole in the sex industry. Cody soon made a retreat to more traditional employment in journalism, and a budding writing career stimulated by her skin trade days.
While still stripping, Cody began writing for City Pages, an alternative Twin Cities weekly newspaper. She left City Pages just before it changed editorial hands. Cody has since written for the now-defunct Jane magazine. In December 2007, Cody debuted as Entertainment Weekly magazine's newest Backpage columnist, joining regular contributors Dalton Ross and the iconic pop horror author Stephen King on a rotational basis."

2 friends of mine (whose opinions I take very seriously in these matters) said that it was pure crap. Nothing but boobs and gore for no reason ... plus .. there are things *I* personally don't like watching that are in that movie. I have a ... huge problem with eye-related violence. I blame Fulci for that one ...

Fondune, Silent Hill was not horrible.. it has it's flaws, yes, but it was one of the better "video game" related movies. Resident evil ... was horrible. SORRY MR L. BUT I am biased because I only cared enough to play Res Evil 1 + 2... and didn't think that any movie made from them could be any different than any other zombie movie out there.

I thought Silent Hill was entertaining, and they did a pretty good job sticking to the plot of the video game throughout. The scenery in the movie was stunning to say the least, the ashes falling, the buildings really looked deserted, even the special effects weren't bad.
