If I wanted someone to do some work on my engine who is the most trusted and knowledgeable on here in everyones oppinion. I know if your friends with one guy it might be hard to say the other guy but was just checking. I know side work is cheaper but if they do it and something goes wrong its not like at a shop where they have somekind of warranty.,

Thanks guys! Yes, I have build several high horspower Subarus out there on the road. I always stand behind the cars I build. The motors I have done over the last couple of years are still out there putting down the power.

Shoot me a PM with some details. I see you are in CR our shop is in Blaine so you could stop by.

The tranny bikerboy rebuilt for me has held up well! Also, he has told me before he stand behind his work, so you basically got a warranty, cause if he didn't, he would lose a huge customer base...us! but yeah Bikerboy ftw

Um, no one? I brought a gearset to Mike to swap a gear since he has the fixture and a press if that is what you are refering to. You might want to check your facts.

I dont think Bill is one to get on that band wagon Matt... I am sure he was sincerely asking a question, as most guys who work on cars dont get into transmissions to often... kudos if you do but dont get pissy that easy...

And I aint one to be involved with any he said she said crap as I dont know either Matt or Driftin240 other than I have met them both maybe twice...

I do believe Matt is probably one of the most knowledgable guys on here, regardless of who else is a technician for subaru or not... And Driftin seems like a really friendly down to earth bloke who is also very knowledgable...

So either or.... but I am sure Matt has more stuff / equipment at his disposal then Driftin unless he can use a dealership for his personal use.... ha ha

Hey, everyone mis-diagnoses things on occasion. I'm assuming that is what you are trying to say in that jumble of words.
No matter really, people make mistakes. And at least Brian doesn't crapfart on my seats when driving my car off the lift.

Sure anyone can mis-diagnos something, but pointing a finger at an Alt. and the tech. making some back hand comment when you point out the rod bearing issue (real diagnosis) sure does make a tech look like a tool.

Jason what ever happened to this:

    http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14510

So Justin your car didn't sound like a bad alternator from that video from the ice race. But you probobly know that. You also might want to remember that you need to tow an AWD car on a flat bed not on a "tow dolly"

I only finished jr. high so I really don't understand your high school games?

you can use a tow dolly as long as the front wheels are off the ground too!!! basically NO wheels touching pavement... but flatbed is best...

and lets not start a pissing match rx7v8...

who cares someone made a comment. you didnt like it... boohoo.. it happens all the time... leave the politics and crying game out of this forum....

How many motors have you gone through in the last 6-8 months? It's hard to keep up with your engine drama. Maybe you should get a chevy it's less technical and a little easier on the wallet.
