Is it just me? Am I just now noticing it? Am I going crazy? It seems like I see more and more of my neighbors and cars I recognize in my parking lot at work and on my commute that are driving around on a donut (or 2!) for weeks (sometimes months) on end. It scares the hell out of me driving anywhere near these goons. The giant potholes don't help matters either. Also, isn't it almost always a wheel and tire? Isn't "spare tire" a misnomer to begin with? Full size spare? Ok, that's a "spare," but otherwise drive to the damn tire shop and get your **** fixed people! /rant
I have full size spares in both cars. Since I stick to stock wheels and most y'all don't it makes for an easy, cheap way to get some full size spares when you get rid of your stockers. Exception being the PFF-7s on the Spec B, but I got the two 17" LGT wheels for $50/each.
Co-worker rocked one for months during the summer and fall. Still on there I'm sure. He picked up a "cherry" Ford Escort Wagon rather than get another tire.
low and behold, a vw I see almost every day on my lunch break still had a donut on the front today... except it was flat  made my day.
what's even dumber is they usually put it on the front too... dumbest spot to have it if you are gonna drive around with it
That's because the front tire has a better chance of popping. They just don't want to change TWO tires... fail. It's okay if you're going straight to the tire shop.
