my drivers side motor mount broke... i'm not sure how to go about replacing it. any ideas or suggestions would help me
Not too fun, but not too hard. Here's what I've done. might not be the best way or only way to do it. be careful! jack up car, secure on stands. loosen and remove nut on the broken mount. do not mess with mount that isn't broken. leave that one alone loosen, but do not remove the nuts on the mount that connect to the engine use jack to lift engine. hoist is best, but I've used a 2x4 on a top of the jack plate and placed under center of the oil pan. carefully jack engine a few cranks at a time and keep checking the stud on the mount. watch for it to clear the frame. once the the engine mount stud has cleared the frame you will then take off the nuts you loosened previously the mount should come out now. replace and install. again, this is how I've done it...might want to do a search for better/different methods check scoobymods.com, they may have something on there
forgot to mention. you could always upgrade since your doing it. http://www.gruppe-s.com/Subaru/subeng/EngineMounts.htm
