    cooling issues?

Seems like more work that its really worth. You can crank out more than 600whp with the 257, I just dont see the need for this. If you want closed deck, get the 22T. My $.02

2.0L wont handle that much power...and you could do this closing of hte deck thing...but let me make some points for you to consider....

    1) If you did fully close a 2.0L block, the cost will be nearly the same as a 2.5L EJ257 block.

    2) If an EJ257 can make 600whp do you intend to make more than 600whp?

    3) If so, do you know what is required of a car in terms of maintenance when it reaches 600whp?

This seems like overkill honestly. Especially when EJ20G blocks and EJ22T blocks are already available. There are a rare few that would require a fully closed 2.5L block...and I don't think there are very many of them among us here. No offense to anyone, but if you look at the fat pocket jackasses on Nasioc that are buying these closed deck 2.5L blocks, alot of them just stick a 20G or a 30R on them and that's it. Pointless. You could put either of those turbos to the test on a 2.5L EJ257 stock block and not max out the cylinder walls.

nah just one link I had and after I posted it i realised it was for sandrails primarily not street cars.. but no-one else had ever posted their site so I thought what the heck...

I aint thinking nothing... I am selling my AP very shortly and not doing anything as far as mods for a very long time due to lack of finances.... next mods soon will be the custom hood scoop which is about 40% finished, and painting of that and my side skirts, and a new head unit (radio) from my buddy that controls my ipod... then I am done...

Rather spend my $$$$ on a Rebel XTi camera....
