Like a boss. Hella unflush Broskis. Adam Schreiner of Midwest Rally Media took some shots today to commemorate the occasion. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kdmy0/sets/72157626445251600/with/5596342333/ Thanks again Adam! If you didn't know, I blew the motor at the 100AW rally and have been rebuilding ever since. Special thanks to Matt (bikerboy) and RS Motors for doing the pistons in the new block; Josh at Import Image Racing for the hook up on parts; Brian Bielke and Morries Minnetonka Subaru for getting me stuff fast; the Ziptie Rally crew of Matt (Chux), Martin, Mike, and Dan (Turtle/Semis) for their work getting the car back on the road; my co-driver Dave Goodman for putting up with another DNF and his help with the repairs; Graham Evans Motors for assembling the new rear diff (and thank you to Carbonetics!), and providing build advice; Matt (fobia) for fabricating one killer exhaust manifold and anyone else I might be forgetting (sorry!). old engine bay Waiting for the tuner to fly in from the UK mid-month to get a full tune on it and then we'll be ready to rip it up at RallyMN in May.
Finally your engine bay looks like solid race car not a little virgin it used to be Now it's time to win some trophies with this set up. Good luck to you guys. Car looks sick, very sick.
What kind of idiot runs their intercooler on the other side of where the hood latch would be? The only thing dumber than that is if you put your radiator there. Stooopid ricers and their intercooler/radiator grills. Looks good Carl! Nice shots, Adam.
Who's the tuner ? The new engine bay looks a lot... lighter. But I miss all the zip ties holding the front end on. It was kind of your thing. Other than that, the car looks great.
they come with a very thick coating on them - they almost feel plastic. there is no real point though, in the end they are disposable items and no coating will last. We bring 20+ wheels and tires with us to rallies anyway
