well..i got a ticket last month on the 6th...i went in today to talk to a hearing officer...they said that i need "proof" that the stock muffler is back on by a shop...so im like..."what??? the officer told me to put it back on...and i did...so how can i have proof that a shop did it??" so now i have to "have proof" that a shop check it and say that it was just a bolt.....WTF!....my car is too loud??? there are many cars out there thats louder and its ok for trucks to have loud exhausts? man...F*%# the hearing officer....shoo... wagonL
its pretty lame how car get picked on for loud exhaust when trucks and motorcycles dont even get looked at. it sounds like they want a note from a shop saying that you have a muffler. kinda like a doctors note lol, you should just bring the hearing officer outside and show him.
Well thank goodness my car isn't as loud as the street legal Ferrari's and Porsche Carerra GT's that roam around the SW....that's my line. When I got a ticket for a loud exhaust I just snapped a pic of the stock exhaust and that was enough for the hearing officer. ticket dismissed in 5 minutes
Yes +1 for pics/vids then no one will make you verify with a shop. I took a picture of my fixed license plate bracket and a little video of me ripping tint off my car and that sufficed enough to get both tickets dismissed.
well....i dont get it...the thing is that...i have to take it apart again...and then show proof that i put it back on??WTF! man...this is getting annoying...well..i rather pay 10 bucks for a shop to say that its back to stock and that it was just a bolt and nut that was loose..... wagonL
