welcome to the new MN winters solution to ice, they screwed with the salt compound and now we get to deal with insane levels of rust! gotta grind it down, prep that spot, and repaint it

that's very common to all rs (just like curly said.... MN's salt and snow). My rs was expanded within 3 years. If u want to get rip of the rust, u need to act now before the rust will expand. Is just like a body tumour...

this year was even worse too, MN changed their salt solution with more clorination thus speeding it up :(

Actually, the new "salt" solution is supposed to be less corrosive, thoug it'll be years until that's proven.

Looking at what the new compound did to my suspension bolts I don't think it was an improvement in the corrosion category.

I washed my car within a few days of every wet day we had, and I saw no change in the many already existing rust spots on my car.

get it washed, and make sure the wash includes an underbody spray. keep those rockers clean!!!! oh wait, that's preventative.

get a drill, a wirewheel, and some Rustoleum.
