Ok, I just installed my AP last week. No problems, so I thought. Tonight I drove back to my parents in central Wisconsin (death in the family). About half way back my car would "hiccup" so to speak. Only lasted for half a second but happend 6 or 7 times over 10-15 miles . I wasn't able to notice changes in boost or anything. I couldn't replicate the problem on my own either. I was just cruising along at 62mph ~2500rpm at the time. Didn't notice it much after that (mostly freeway driving ~70-75mph). No CELs and no other problems. Gas milage was about normal (somewhere around 25-28mpg). I'm just a little worried about it. Anyone have any ideas? (It might not be related to the AP or even the engine, maybe transmission???) :?

Stage 1 91oct version 1.3. K&N panel filter. Filled up with 92oct in Rochester before I left. Might have the 3/16" mod, but I think have taken that out. didn't seem boost related cuz i wasn't on boost, just cruising.

My car does that sometimes, always during cruising in closed loop. I always just ignored it because it doesn't seem to affect the car in a huge negative way.

yep, just cruising along and then all of a sudden it's like I let off the gas for a split second. It definitely isn't knock because it would flash my cel for a second, it's really odd.

Yup, pretty much that. Or like I hit a 1 inch bump in the road. A small jolt of the car, but not the suspention.

Might it have been some bad gas? Filled up at a decent and reliable KwikTrip...

Bad gas usually exhibits itself as overall power loss, rough idle, etc.
(Unless a chunk got through the filter and momentarily clogged an injector. Unlikely.)

The symptoms of a noticeable abrupt "jerk" are almost always ignition/electrical.

It's probably that "exhaust flamethrower" kit you installed that's mis-triggering

i had that happen, but my cel did not go one at all. it happened when my car inahled a alot of water /water vapor. i think it was enough to prevent the cylinder from firing. so ya i would look in to the misfire problems. coudl be realted to the electrical syetsm, maybe a connectino got wet and is now intermittent or something.

    good luck

this happens to me when its snowing or raining because of my intake, i dont think its a lack of combustion, but rather a drop of water or snow hitting the wire on the maf, causing it to go out of wack for a moment

I'll check my grounding and other wiring. Maybe I'll get a grounding kit...
