happened yesterday, totally forgot to post it here. Was breaking a bolt loose on my exhaust manifold with the car up on a lift. Had a half inch breaker bar and was putting all my weight into it when I broke the bolt off loose. Then the bar broke my face. separated cartilage in my nose, split my skin through to the gums (no lost teeth, thank god). I got 6 stitches, 2 staples (inside my mouth), and two nasal expanders after my nose was set.
OMFGWTF. Can't say I haven't punched myself in the face with a wrench, but that's going a little far. Damn. Hope they gave you some good medication....
If you ain't bleeding ya ain't workin. I've socked myself in the face plenty of times and expected more blood than what happened. I don't have a doubt I'll eventually do the same.
aahahaha. I turned down anasthetic actually for the stitches. I dont like needles, so I just stuck with the one they used to stitch me up. The staples just felt like biting your lip, not too bad. If you arent a wuss like me with needles, GET THE NOVACAINE. dear lord that crap was uncomfortable. having my nose set and having the expanders shoved up my nostrils my jaw was pretty tightly clenched...suprised I didnt crack any teeth haha.
^^^ BTDT. Only stitches ever were from a sofa, of all things though. Other times I've been glued (literally) back together.
Maybe next time you'll remember that no means no Glad to see you're ok, I think we've all managed to bang ourselves up in a spectacular fashion in one form or another. When I tore the quads in my left leg and strained all the ligaments they sent me to Balboa to get my knee drained. You know you're about to have a really crappy day when they give you a stick to bite down on...
Ouch, dude. This is why I stick a 2' cheater bar on the end of the breaker bar. Keeps me far enough away from stuff, never fails to deliver.
OUCH! That looks uber painful. Glad to hear you still have all of your teeth. I think your car doesnt like you any more...
