So, my WRX has had a checkered history. Smashed windshield when it was one week old. Rear-ended by a teenager yapping on her cellphone when it was one month old. Hail damage 4 years ago. Two and a half years ago I was vandalized to the tune of $3500 or so while parked on the street at our condo. Then another time I had a foglight stolen in broad daylight while we were out for a walk. A couple months ago I received a lovely new scratch on my left rear door, presumably from someone else's car door in some parking lot. Last weekend we moved to our new house in St Louis Park. Quiet neighborhood, single family homes....perfect, right? The days of worrying about my alarm going off yet again are over, right? Yesterday morning at 4:15 am the Star Tribune delivery guy saw fit to back out of the driveway across the street directly into my front left quarter with his Ford Ranger. Fan-tastic. My alarm is going off yet again, on just our 2nd night in the new house. At least he didn't drive off. Around lunchtime yesterday Progressive (his carrier) called and said he wasn't insured to be using that vehicle to do his job (I assume the Strib considers carriers independent contractors or something). So they aren't covering squat. Now once again I'm on the hook for taking care of more damage to my car that is 100% not my fault. It's getting an estimate currently, and I hope to drop the car off somewhere to get the work started still today. I absolutely LOATHE this car. But it's paid for. And it shall live....again.
I'm on the same boat with you Zola...3 times already right at the same driver rear end. I'm getting really tired of it.
lmao the first thing I did was check the date of the original post........thinking that Dream bumped and dumped it.
Now if only it could have a tree fall on it, and/or be hit by a meteor.....that would truly be legendary.
