My autometer egt gauge is acting really wierd, it works fine but when I build boost above 10psi or am in WOT the needle goes to 0 then back to 1200, 1300, or whatever it should be at when I take my foot off the gas. I think I may just have a loose ground wire or something but I dont know this is pretty wierd. It worked fine for about 2 months and just started doing this last night.
Some EGT voodoo going on. I installed my Maddad EGT a couple weeks ago, and yesterday it decided to bury itself @ max temp (2k+) right upon startup, even without the sensor attached. Boo
Well then, attach the sensor and I bet you will be amazed at the results... As for the OP, bad ground is possible...where is it located? How was it mounted? If it isn't threaded in, could it be the cause of a leak?
Nathan drilled and tapped my mani on the drivers side and the probe is tight. I am pretty sure its a wiring issue im going to rerun the ground this weekend and see if it helps. I was also thinking the gauge itself might have crapped out on me.
