Just found out! Two of my friends were in a car accident today in the the morning. Erik did not survive and Matt is in critical condition at a hospital. I just went to see a movie yesterday night with Matt and he wanted me to go driving with him on hwy 3. I cant believe this. Let this be a sorrow reminder to everybody to drive safely! http://www.twincities.com/allheadlines/ci_9218318
Wow. That is terrible. I had a similar experience where I saw the person the same day even... in the case for me, he unfortunately didn't survive. Hopefully Matt pulls through. Really sorry to hear about your friends. I have never met ya, but still...hang in there man. Tough situation...
Thanks Guys. I really hope he pulls through it. He is in surgery right now. And the worst thing is that he was just telling me yesterday how he cant even afford food cause his former roommate screwed him up on a lease. so he has to pay 25% of his check every month so that leaves him with under 400 bucks a month to pay for food, gas, insurance for the car and rent.
yeah dude, that sucks ... I read about that crash earlier but didn't know that you know the guy. Really sucks dude
I really hope it was not Matts fault. He is a very good driver. He worked so hard to buy that car and just put nice rims and tires on it. I still have not heard anything from him or his gf. I really can't believe this happened. And this could have happened on my eyes if I went with him driving today.
the people that told me about this said that i had met him a few times but i dont remember him personally. My Prayers are with their families
just spoke to Natalie( Matts gf) she said he is going to have a 10 hour surgery. Erik was a great guy, I was just recently with him and matt at century test track. He had a very nice old mr2 that he had great plans for.:-(
I just drove through there, I do every day, and it was on the very last (and deceptively tight) right hander if you're traveling north on 3. I don't think it was raining yet when this accident occured, it didn't start until near noon. Also, there was a lot of rubber down, it looked like he came into it too hot, panicked and locked them up, as all four tires were in a straight line. He travelled across the oncoming lane and caught the other car, swerving to its right, on the opposite shoulder. Speed had to be a factor as even the speed limit (50) around that turn is not too tough even in wet weather. Condolances. Hwy 3 from 55 to Diffley is a road that can cause trouble no matter how well you know it.
