Not alot of people here know me but I am going to be coming to the Fri night meets every once in awhile.
Just wanted to share with you guys what Im up to. Not alot of people will care but...Whatever
This car is just my daily driver so Im not gonna do anything crazy with it(we'll see how long that lasts). Its a 1998 Legacy GT with just over 250000 miles on it

A few months ago I put in some HIDs, thanks to Bee! Thanks Bee!!!!

I went to the junk yard the other day and hit the jackpot!

First we'll start off with removing the woodgrain...

All I need now is the piece that goes around the shifter.
I also got new Hvac Controls cuz my other ones didnt light up.
    Got a new intake!!

I also bought an IAC so hopefully my car wont idle at 1500 anymore. They also had a 96 legacy wagon there that was a stick. I am SOOO tempted to buy all the stuff to make mine a manual. I think that would be fun!

Im also thinking of powder coating my wheel black. If anyone has a spare set of wheels to lend me that would be sweet!

    Thanks for lookin!

The legacy looks great, especially for that kind of mileage.

The interior and the engine are in great shape. The body has some rust and small damage but its good enough. And thanks for the pic! I was gonna go search for a pic to see what it would look like but now I dont have to.

I just replaced my IAC with one from the junk yard(I know, I know, Im a cheapass!). Anyways I dont think it did anything :( I will have to drive it and find out. Car was in great shape but then it got some hail damage. Also I think it was in a slight front end colision. the hood was bent up a bit and the lights still face down and the grill was off. Here is a pic when I first picked it up.

    Pick what up for?

Since I bought the car I was pissed because my car had amber lights where the clear foglights are. Until today that is. They never actually worked so today I looked at them and there was some water in there. So I took them off to check the water out and replace the bulbs I removed the bulbs and all the water fell out. to my suprise the water was orange.
Long story short those lights you see on my bumper are CLEAR(well were clear)! it got soo rusty in there that it made them amber colored. Im going to have to buy new ones tho because they were soo rusty that the piece in front of the light that helps direct the light fell off and is stuck in there.

Its furthur than that from mankato. It takes me about 50min to get to Shakopee. I don't drive slow either. 30-45min from Shakopee depending on traffic.

Here is the story of the Legacy:

When I bought the car it looked like someone was going to do the tbelt but never finished.

So I replaced the water pump, Tbelt, Radiator, Radiator hoses, Tstat, and Radiator Cap.

after driving it around for a couple weeks it kept overheating so I pulled the motor and did the HGs

After that was done I started the MODS on page one.

As for the front bumper lights I cant tell if they were clear to begin with and turned orange from rust. OR they were orange and the water ate away at the orange and it came off.

    Light on the car:

And after running some water through it.

Today I took my exhaust off, cut it up and put it back together so its not broken anymore. GHETTO as hell but guess who doesnt care... This guy!!!
My friend paul finishing up while I take a pic

Also When I got the car the rear driver door molding was a little messed up so I sanded it and painted it.

Sounds good, but do you really think I care whats illegal? :). Its quiet and thats all that matters.

Now for the paint. I went to wellie(or welly) auto supply on Central Ave in Columbia Heights and they custom mix paint into spray paint cans. Its a tiny bit on the brighter side but it works.

I was working then went to Applebees. I didnt think anyone would be out cuz it had rained. And we all know that rain melts the paint on all the cars...
