Roasty-toasty-Volvo. Sorry for the cell phone quality. It started about 20 seconds before I pulled up. People were everywhere, idiots. The owner walked from the driveway that she stopped by across the highway to go talk to someone just as the pressure in the gas tank let go. The moron was about 10' from the car and hit the deck as a 10' cloud of something escaped from the car.
Yeah, everyone looked to be ok or I would have stopped. There were about 6 people on the cell phones, and a fire marshall's blazer shot past me and was on the scene seconds after I had passed it. I was waiting for it to blow up like in the movies, but I doubt it did. There would have been people hurt if it would have. I couldn't believe how close they were to a burning car!!! sorry, no more pics. I didn't even look toward the car as I drove by I just pointed and clicked at the right time.
sad to hear that people are so stoooopid (not suprised). I wounder where the fire origionated? In the cabin? electrical?
I'm not sure, but there were flames shooting out the fuel door and dripping from the bottom of the car. Fuel pump shorted out maybe, sparked and dropped into the tank? I'll see if I can get one of the charred asphalt on the way home. :biggrin:
