Been lurking for awhile, decided to finally join. Bought my STI on 9/2/11 from Madison, WI. Quite the bus ride out there. 5 hours on megabus. So. Long. AAAAND. My new setup after clear bra, tint, rims/tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE0970 Pole Position A/S)
The ride home was quite a bit shorter (no stops, and a nice cruising speed)! The car has a short throw and catback that came with it. I'll say that Don Miller East Subaru in WI was quite pleasant to deal with. Good, nice people. good price on the vehicle too!
Oh crap, I forgot to mention to you BroCo... the rims are 5x114.3 and the 05s, as I understand it, use a 5x100 bolt pattern. I think that'll alter your plans on the stock rims, right?
Once you get er broken in have Nuke hook you up with a stage 1 tune. You won't believe the difference and the car will be running on a good tune not a junk stock Subaru tune.
Nice car. I really like the WRX STI Sedans. +1 for NF Performance and a stage 1 tune (followed by your bank account being emptied as you get the mod bug) -1 for anything BroCo says. Unless it is saying I am cool.
Yeah I said I was going to wait.... that lasted a few thousand miles. You can always mod the car after your warranty.
Let's not jack this thread, so PM me any questions you have. PS...I don't tune cars, just make them go coo-coo
+1 for NF performance from another satisfied customer. Nuke worked his magic on my '11 PBP STi, and I am very happy with the results.
The twin cities dealers are horrendous with the possible exception being Morries Minnetonka when it comes to pricing. I was able to order my 2012 for about 2000 less than what any TC area would do by going to Kupper Subaru in Mandan,ND
Ya, last I checked on prices on a 11 nobody in the cities would go under $500 under MSRP. I even tried looking through a "special program" I was suppose to get thru work. Their contact quoted me between 2500-4000 over MRSP. I have talked to a couple other dealers that will sell at invoice, or under(these are a bit further away).
