So I bought a car. And a few things must be said about it. If I was going for pure power(in stock form) My Sti would have beat up this car, but...that being said...potential is far greater in the evo than the sti(not that I would ever go there anyways) The evo has leather>blue suede...It turns and corners 10000000x better than the sti(both in stock form) It is 100000x sharper, more responsive, cleaner, less rattle-lier, smoother, sexier, EVERYTHING...BUT the exhaust note...seriously that is it...the only thing that is better on the sti is the exhaust note....NOW I have owned both a completely stock 04 EVO VIII SSL and an 06 STI....HANDS DOWN the evo wins...sorry guys its just so much more fun to drive than the sti, about the same mileage on the clock, and around 6k cheaper...EVO TRUMPS...Moving on here are the pics.. right now it is wingless, MR tails, and 255's on rota torques....LOVE IT!!!! SSL Package FTW! here they are!
LOL:laugh: Sounds nice man. I had someone else tell me that hands down, the EVO is more raw and handles better and all that, but the STi has more power, and yes the exhaust sounds is amazing. Anyways, I thought you were goin' green when you sold your car and got a bike and that wagon??
bring it to the rallyx next weekend... we'll see if you're still saying the same thing  (if i wanted a pavement car I'd have an evo for sure)
no its black, form a one owner, perfect condition...and yes Carl, thats what I forgot Subarus definitely do trump all when it comes to DIRT!!!!

I will be at the rally x if I can get my brakes taken care of. also, will, I wish I could see th pics.
Looks like a nice car. I do have to admit that the EVO is a pretty sweet looking car. Although IMO there are too many gizmos involved with them. I would take a good ole set of 3 LSDs over an over rated toaster incharge of which wheels get to spin ;-) lol
4g63 with low miles = FTW 4g63 in 7 more years = broke ass DSM. i love dsms though. and would definatly own one again but just wait cuz in 10 11 years all the evos are gonna be the biggest pieces of **** you will ever see.
do some suspension work on that thing. and let me know when i can shoot that s2k dood. that thing was hot
Mind you these opinions are just that, opinions of my own. I did LOVE the sti....and I'm sure its more fun in the snow, and more fun in the dirt...I KNOW THAT IS TRUE....but when it came down to it I had to think to myself..."How many times do I really use this AWD, lets be completely honest....rarely ever..maybe 10 times a year....and lets face it it just isn't enough" So what became most important to me is comfort...I could never afford a sti limited, but I wanted leather...and I wanted a change of pace anyways, from owning 3 subarus I know they kick ass, but my goal in a new car was more direct. I spend 99% of my time on pavement, I will be graduating soon, I need something work appropriate, I need something moddable, I need something fast, I need somethiing that can ruin a corvette or viper in the corner and laugh doing it....Not to say the sti didn't have any of these traits...and awd Just for winter would be nice(so I don't die).........the evo just fit better. I got my leather, sunroof, speed and sharpness of response. I guess when it comes down to it it truely is personal choice.......and mine is the evo....by a landslide!!!
I give it maybe 5 months. Shall we start a pool on when he'll dump it and move one to his next car? I'm jealous.
LESS rattles? i'm calling BS, the REGULAR impreza is a nice car to begin with, the REGULAR lancer is a pile of warmed over dog **** to start with.
Yeah, I kind of have to agree with 3rik. The few Evos I've sat in seemed pretty cheap on the inside. I still love them, though.
granted that might be true...but this one does not make one squeek, my sti just felt a bit loose...IDK it could just be luck of the draw...watch the Top Gear episode on the evo8 vs. sti....perfectly explained..They bot really are better in certain ways, I just like the more adult feel of an evo wingless with leather....but yeah it probably will be for sale in a bit:biggrin:
Did you consider a Legacy GT? just curious because it sounds like it might fill your needs alittle better.
