It would still be slower than just about everything. Now it would just rev to 14K rpm. 600cc sport bike engines well tuned still only make around 100 hp. Couple that with a car that weighs 4-6 times what the bike weighed that the engine came out of and it's going to be slow as dirt. Now if you were to pair two 1300cc superbike engines together and run them as if they were a 2.6L V8- that would be something to see, and the sound would be like nothing anyone's ever heard.
The car weighs in at 1650 lbs. After swapping the motor for a bike engine making twice the horsepower of the original motor and likely weighing less. Then fully gutting the car of anything other than some minimal racing seats. Um, yeah, the car likely weighs in at around 1450lbs and has 100hp.... 14.5lbs per HP The WRX weighs in at 3080lbs and has 227hp... 13.5lbs per HP They aren't far off. You could likely boost that bike motor and pick up a few more. That's pretty damn fast for 1800 bucks though.
actually my 06 gsxr 600 bone stock comes with 109 hp and with my exhaust and my tune its upwards of 130 now
Thats pretty sweet. I never thought about a bike motor in the geo. Someone was thinking! they should have put in a 1l motor though. then it would have te same displacement as the stock on but bookoo more hp
at Disney world they had a stunt show ware there cars all had bike motors in them. sounded sweet and was pretty quick..
